Typically an engagement lasts two to three months and consists of six to ten hours of work for eight to twelve weeks. Some of the work is in person, some virtual. Whether it is a startup or established company every engagement begins with a diagnostic interview. The process establishes a client’s
- Goals and Objectives
- Market knowledge
- Status & Timelines
- Strategic and practical advantages
- Company limitations
This initial session asks a series of seemingly simple questions:
- What are you good at?
- What are you trying to achieve? (These may or may not be identical!)
- How will you know that you have achieved success?
- What will you be doing in five years?
From these initial questions, the engagement will work collaboratively on pitch materials, business plans, marketing and branding considerations, and finding the right financing. Clients are expected to work consistently and with purpose; their active participation and willingness to collaborate will determine an engagement’s outcome.
